Music as Heritage has been a staple of CEU Summer University courses ever since 2018. Co-organised by CEU SUN and the Forum for Folk Art Foundation, this course offers insightful lectures in ethnomusicology, methodology and both real life and digital field work. The course has welcomed lecturers from illustrious institutions such as (but not limited to) King’s College London, SOAS University London or Bard College. Returning lecturers of the course are the world renown ethnomusicology researchers Martin Stokes and Jonathan Stock, as well as musicology and music industry professionals from Hangvető, András Lelkes and Balázs Weyer.
