Hangvető started out as a record label, working closely with artists and trying to bring the music they create to a wider audience. It was an honour to work with the likes of Kálmán Balogh and Miklós Lukács, explore jazzy paths from folk with three amazing female voices of Szájról Szájra, be there when Mónika Lakatos’s star started to rise, and act as the Hungarian vendor to one of the most prestigious names in Europe, ECM.

While the industry underwent tectonic shifts over the years, our love for this kind of work never diminished; we still publish the music and artists we fall in love with.
